People oppose Warren for many reasons including this garbage:

"John Aravosis of Americablog noticed on Friday that Rick Warren's church website explicitly bans gay people "unwilling to repent of their homosexual lifestyle" from membership at Saddleback. (They are allowed, however, to attend services.)

Now Warren has removed the anti-gay language from the church website."

Personally, I don't want any religion at a secular ceremony especially one of this significance. I don't want the bible there or any other religious book. It's a secular event and should be treated as such.

Unfortunately, the American people being as they are hysterical and stupid much of the time, no one can get elected to high office unless they claim to be religious and, most often, mainstream Christian. That isn't progress, that is stupid.

I personally oppose Warren because I think he's a total hypocrite about his inability to STOP EATING. The guy's a fat slob and he needs to lose some weight before he yammers about how good he is for not sleeping with every attractive woman he meets as an example to gays...he's ridiculous.

There are tons of dignified clerics in the US without having to resort to Mr. Paunch.
