seems a bit early for the definitive collapse per online.wsj.com as i had in mind something like 2030-2035 time frame, some 10-15 years beyond the china-usa parity, but

as we are dealing with the big picture within a broad frame, no particular need to quibble over a few dozen months either direction

i keep an open mind

i do not believe the usa has the fortitude as the british, to go quietly off the stage, and so dire for the world at large, however, given usa size and geography, the collapse will more likely be from within, due to rot and decay, as opposed to foreign adventures, except perhaps as a second order effect - that on the treasury

empires are for fools and knaves, and no one else

recommendation: do not buy apparent usa bargains just yet, buygold instead

snowshoe may have to learn to speak russian, and palin may need new hairdo

let us watch and brief
