You know, buy and hold has worked pretty well for gold over the past ten years. I was looking yesterday at an account I manage for my daughter, and checked basis one one holding. Back in 2003 I put just over $300 into a gold company that was then bought by Goldcorp, and now that $300 is worth over $2,000. And this is at a time when miners have been in a bear market! It might double again this year. That's just a small example, of course, but typical of what has been possible.
