Actually shifting Tax Policy is what conservative should be trying to do, recognizing full well that spending is going to occur. President Bush wants more spending. Mitch McConnel wants more spending. John Boehner wants more spending. In light of this, how do we handle the need for tax revenues while accomplishing the goals of higher employment and less dependence on foreign oil?

Perhaps you still long for the days of cutting taxes and not cutting spending, just passing the debt on to the kids and giving China an enormous financial hold on us. I don't.

Be pragmatic Bill. Fact reality. Better to structure a tax policy revision that could be cost neutral AND accomplish strategic objectives than just go blindly into the night.

Or do you just want more unsupported debt? We tried that the past eight years. The results are all around us.
