my point about carter is that he is a liberal and instead of giving lip service to helping out the needy, he went out there and worked to make it happen AFTER his presidency.

I am pretty sure that I pointed out that I didn't think he was a good president.

I like the idea of people focusing on how they can help the needed rather than focusing on forcing everyone else to help those who they feel are needy.

I found a consistency in his liberal ideals and his actions. Most liberal politicians seem very self serving in their "generosity" (with other people's money, I should add).
