You may have some good points here. I know that Elroy did some thinking before he suggested the $5 limit for shorts.

I would have been a big player in MTLK long ago if shorting had been OK for penny stocks. Today it's up 50%, however, a dangerous play in big fluctuations.

I believe your point, that the 5 picks being long or short with no difference has merits.

Any ideas, Elroy or others?

Keep the $5 limit for shorts, allow for 5 picks, long shorts or mixed, max 50% of single pick portfolio value initially or upon new trades?
