I am always amazed at the amount of time people spend saying something can't be done... ...This thread is a great example of that. Not exactly. Saying something is too expensive, or isn't a good idea at the moment, or will take a long time to do, etc., isn't the same as saying it can't be done. Long term I think most people here think electric cars in some form (batteries, fuel cells, ultracapacitors, whatever), will eventually be an important, even dominant factor in personal transportation. Certainly I think that. I just don't think that electric cars will be all that significant for 10 years or more, or dominant in the next 20 or probably even the next 30.
