It isn't often that one side, when attacked, unprovoked, will sit and NOT fight.

There was a ceasefire and Hamas said, "Hey, it's over. We want to start killing Israelis again".

This is far more black and white than many want to make it. If the Palestinians quit killing innocent Israelis, there is zero doubt the fighting will stop.
