Horrible as the Bush wars have been at least Bush had to sell his wars via lies, stealth, and deception. Not so in Israel. Most of the population knows what is happening and supports it strongly. No need for Zionist politicians to lie Israel into aggressive war. Most Israelis knowingly support the genocidal massacre their government is carrying out. I believe they support of the idea of self defense, not killing innocent civilians. No other way to find a way to halt the rockets. However, I think Israel is now starting to lose the PR war...even among Jews living elsewhere in the world. You can only use the rockets must stop argument for so long. They are losing their argument with me too. They are doing things the George Bush way....good guys and bad guys view of the world. When you see kids carried by grieving parents, you have to be inhuman to not feel anything....and realize the costs in this battle are just too high. It is better to put up with some rockets and work towards a peace after Obama comes into office. Obama needs credibility among Arabs....the way to do it is for Israel to slow down its attacks enough to get to Jan 20...and then suddenly pull back (ceasefire agreement) 1 or 2 days later. The Palestinians will get the sense there is an impartial leader in the USA...and that may be all that is needed at this time. Desperate people need some hope...and may be it. Hopefully, this Gaza battle will be the last..and a real peace process can begin soon after. I guess in some we can give credit to Bush for that..and finally create a strong desire on both sides to get this over with....somehow.
