It's going GREAT for Hamas.

They WANT civilian casualties. It's said that that school they were firing from was loaded with explosives so any return fire from the Israelis would kill a LOT of civilians.

All the "fearless leaders" of Hamas are probably as far away from the action as possible, if not in Syria or another country.

Hamas has the "Hezbollah handbook" to play from now after Lebanon.

Which is why, if I were Israel, I'd reoccupy Gaza. It's not like Israel is suddenly going to be more popular in the Middle East if they stop now and make a truce. They should take Gaza and then bring in Fatah to gradually take over. I "think" what they're going to do is try to get a LARGE contingent of foreign troops in there to stop the rocket launchings, but that would still leave Hamas in place, just like Hezbollah was left in place. In that case Hamas would be strengthened and given much more credibilty in the West Bank, which could eventually lead to their taking over there too.

If Israel doesn't take out Hamas now, then Israel's days are numbered. Which would bring in the U.S., because there are a LOT of Christians in this country that wouldn't like to see Israel disappear....at least not until Christ is ready for his second act.
