I voted for John McCain. I don't love Obama - not my type and way too skinny ;-)

I am not campaiging or electioneering for Obama - the next Presidential campaign season (2012) doesn't even start until early February. Besides, he doesn't need my help.

I am interested in any insights, opinions and even gossip about what U.S. politicians will do and when, because I am an investor.

The Federal Government, which used to act something like a nominally neutral umpire in an economic baseball game, has deserted that role. - of course some of the umpires forgot to bring their seeing eye dogs to the game, (see SEC, Office of Thrift Supervision, etc.)

Now, using your & my tax dollars, and a bunch of IOUs already signed for an unborn generation of children, the Feds have decided to be a player in the game, only it has been changed to Calvin Ball, with elements of Luche Libre (Mexican Wrestling), three card monte, and by next week, Klingon 3-D chess.

So to the extent that some political actions may be relevant to Residential Real Estate, and the other investments popular here on SI,(like energy, metals, autos, and tech) I would like to continue to discuss relevent political events.

I would like you contribute - I apologize if I seem to partisan, but of course there is little news from the other side of the aisle.
