Receives $1.4 Million in Equipment Orders to Upgrade a GSM Network in Africa finance.yahoo.com Wednesday January 7, 2009, 8:00 am EST MELVILLE, N.Y., Jan. 7, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (NasdaqGS:CMTL) announced today that its Tempe, Arizona-based subsidiary, Comtech EF Data Corp., received $1.4 million in orders for satellite communications equipment from a GSM operator. The order specifies CDM-625 Advanced Satellite Modems with an array of options that enable bandwidth efficiencies. The equipment will be utilized to upgrade the satellite backhaul for an existing GSM network in Africa.
