How about implementing the "FairTax"? That'll promote savings and spending at the same time! The U.S. tax system needs an overhaul. As far as leaders, there are congressmen, senators, and former presential candidates who are advocating it, the force is small but strengthening...

1. Get rid of the 60,000 page tax code
2. Scrap the 10 billion annual cost of running the IRS
3. Send the 30,000 lobbiest in Washington DC back home (or somewhere)
4. Take away the "tax" power from the politicians
5. Give citizen their full paycheck for their hard work
6. Bring back the 13 trillion dollar of offshore money back to the U.S. economy.
7. Pre-bate for the basic necessities such as food, therefore no sales tax for the food you need.
8. People will think about the 23% retail sales tax before buying new junk
9. April 15th will be just another spring day
10. When we die, we (our children) don't need to pay death tax!
11. And if we ever make money on the RMTR stock, we don't need to pay taxes :)
