Sorry for jumping in, Katrina, but these off shore drillers/rig cos are real strong. The leases on these rigs has made a serious jump this past year. There is actually a shortage of rigs projected which has resulted in the increased lease fees. To make things even better for this sector, for it to be financially sound to build more rigs, which I believe is in the best interests of the majors, the lease fees need to rise even further to justify construction of new rigs. Cos involved in this sector are doing extremely well and should continue.

I would suggest you also post to qdog on this thread. He has solid info on the oil industry in general and can correct my $0.02 worth.

Whether the co builds em [rigs], leases em, does set up, doesn't matter. Money is pouring in.
