Do you think a pipeline from Iran to India across Pakistan would be any more stable? It is of course just a ploy to get nuclear bombs for Iran. If it isn't, then the nuclear reactor would be built in India and the gas burned in Iran for electricity generation and the cost and risk of the pipeline saved. As you say, depending on unreliable suppliers for crucial products and services is not a good idea. Mqurice
