Not exactly.. you continue to rail about oil being the problem, when I focus on imported oil being the problem. There's a big differentiation there. Your opinions leave the impression that domestic oil production is just as much of a national security problem as imported oil, AND I DO NOT.

how can you possibly not acknowledge the fact that our oil consumption is the biggest contributor to our national security

The focus of my perspective is domestic sources of energy, INCLUDING OIL, and Natural Gas, as well as alternatives we can FOCUS ON NOW and immediately take action on.

Drilling for NG.. Drilling for Oil.. Building the necessary pipelines from Alaska to the lower 48 that would provide a LONG-TERM solution. We're going to need NG regardless.. and there's a ton of it in Alaska and Canada, as well as elsewhere.

And even with all of the PHEVs and pure electric vehicles we'll eventually wind up with AT SOME POINT IN THE FUTURE, you'll still need a SOLID BASELOAD of electricity generation that is available and reliable during nighttime hours when most folks will be recharging those vehicles. That means, quite likely, Natural Gas power generation that meets that the nighttime demand.

Do the wind and solar where proven cost efficient and viable.. but don't put the economic growth of these economy at risk due to your jihad against Natural Gas and DOMESTIC oil, both of which you seem to only give grudging acknowledgment.

I too will look forward to when we can replace fossil fuels with some other form of non-polluting energy. But that's years away and it's going to require a major transition in infrastructure and manufacturing tooling before it can be mainstream.
