Tom, I listened to conference call. Replay on 800 411 5828 after 6:30 today until 25 Oct.

Brief summary;
They have placed most effort of mgt past quarter on internals, ie cutting back principally people to get fixed costs down. They have trimmed about $8M annually in fixed costs so now they will concentrate on increased revenue. They hedged on breakeven for next quarter saying they hope to get there but may not be at exact breakeven until Q1 98. Still few more people to cut but maybe only 25 or so.
Business from Columbia/HCA, a key customer was ok but slower than they hoped because of COL problems(my words not HCIA). Pipeline was at $22M and defined as business which could close within next 90 days.
(this would be a good number for them if they can close this level of business) No more LBA related writedowns coming, all taken 3rd Q.
Now have a senior VP running all daily operations freeing Pilari(sp?) for working on new business strategy/customers.

A most significant thing I heard is they will be meeting with analysts next 2 days to give them guidance for a financial model of HCIA. I like this because I think they have done a poor job of setting analyst expectations in the past and this lloks like their first attempt to right this.

They were optimistic about things even with the problems of past quarters and asked for indulgence of one more quarter to see real sales progress, eg MCO.SYS.

anyone else who listened, please give your opinions.

best.......Bill
