But I wouldn't argue with CJ's claim that IBM out-marketed DEC, that's for sure. But DEC had other issues. Bottom line, IBM had a lot to spend on marketing so yeah, they could buy a lot with it. But they lacked vision. As did DEC. GM is a better marketing organization than IBM, IMO.
