It makes sense. It's cynical, but smart. It's like that Hamas guy that got his house and himself blown up. He was well into middle age with 4 wives and a bunch of kids. HIS big sacrifice was one of his own sons. What did he care. He was living the good life and when you've got 4 wives new sons will always be coming along.
