This agreement represents a major step for Channel i, which has spent the past year developing its local content/TVConnect format in its proposed plan to make the company's interactive community and on line services and the Internet accessible to every home. Univirtuel will bring the expertise and management necessary as well as a wealth of new products and services to be added to the Channel i line. Univirtuel is a multimedia organization, developing CD Rom titles for worldwide distribution, as well as having contracts for multimedia development with IBM Canada, banking institutions and other entities. Univirtuel is also active in the training of personnel at the professional and user levels and is developing innovative new products to go on sale in the first quarter of 1998.
