Rumour is that ARRS(Telewires) may venture into satellite transmission(beyond Wimax) with new edgeQam transceivers of multiple IF channels on single carrier frequency. IF frequencies may go as high as 75 ghz some day to give new satellites new life in amplifiers with transistors of nano linewidth(32 nm or better).

C/cor was the reason for acquisition into data transmission technology for ARRS. Repeater design was very successful for ARRS HFC marketing strategy around the world.

Now satellite data transmission improvement via edgeQam will still stay withing FCC rules without politics involved.

But who can prevent ARRS also to use repeaters for fiber optical system with multiple IF channels(on laser carrier). They had good relations with Nortel in the earlier happier days?
