automotive updates Just informed that jci is now projecting 9.8 annual million volume for north America. Jci is the best of the best and they are seldom incorrect about such things (I used to work for them). This will be very bad for many suppliers as they will not be able to meet their nut. One of my oldest contacts was just let go. He was responsible for Chrysler programs and is one of the top technology managers in his segment. Company told him the shutdown at Chrysler is forcing massive payroll reduction. It tells me that many believe there is not going to be any need to be staffed for a future at Chrysler. I'm expecting another huge wave of layoffs in about six weeks as I believe that when releases start again they will be lower than expected. Gt Th
