Believe what you will about evolution and the Republicans. I would remind you 72% of Republican's still support Bush; and Palin (who is as anti intellectual as they come-lol) is the most popular person among Republican's according to recent polls. Palin cannot even string two thoughts together and has very little world knowledge. She is my governor. I know her capabilities well. The last bastion of Republicanism is appalachia and the deep south. Not one Republican congressperson left in the North east. Why? Dems won every minority in the last election including women (who are not really a minority). Why? Go read the New Your times article I just recently posted to Rambi for your information on evolution. A strong public school system is the strength of our nation. Vouchers weaken that system. And it breaks my heart everytime I see a little kid being indoctrinated with primitive dogma instead of being taught the wide range of world wisdom, knowledge, poetry and science. The way you guys throw around socialism kills me-lol. Using your definition democracy is socialism-lol. socialism is an economic idea. Democracy is a political idea. All countries are some mix of socialism and capitalism. That is called a welfare state. Your city is socialist by your standards. And you call public schools socialist???? They are run by city's whos city councils are elected by the democratic method i.e. voting-lol; overseen by a school boards elected by voters and a whole host of public councils, boards of education and other councils both elected and appointed by elected officials. That is pure democracy in action!!!! Not socialism!
