CYMI is not asleep at the wheel with respect to potential competitors. Comparing the first 9 months of 1996 to the first 9 months of 1997, R&D increased from $7.48 million to $17.35 million. As Andy Grove says, "Only the paranoid survive" (but they don't always make the most money in the stock market!)
