Added a little to bdc NGPC.

"NGP Capital Resources Company (Nasdaq: NGPC) is a financial services company that invests primarily in small and mid-sized energy companies. Key focus areas for our energy investments are the domestic upstream businesses that acquire, develop and produce oil, natural gas and coal; midstream businesses that gather, process, store and transport oil and natural gas; power generation; oil field services and other energy services; and alternative energy."

[t]NGPC[/t] has a lot not going for it. It's in financial services (so unattractive!); it's a business development company (the bdc business models don't seem to be working); it's in the energy biz (there's a glut of oil/gas now apparently); it pays a dividend that's high enough to where it might be unsustainable.

Well, the insiders are buying and holding on though, apparently:

finance.yahoo.com

As of the Dec. 19 press release regarding the Jan. quarterly div. there was no indication that the div. might be cut for the next quarter. The yield annualized is 18%.

At this point (today's stock price), I've backed up my losing position with a small add.
