Curiously, lead today reached near parity with zinc once again. The last time that happened was in the fall when lead was still rising and zinc was falling. Also today lead exceeded it's low of December 29 to achieve a gain of 44 percent in two weeks.

Lead was a late starter as this cycle began, and it continued higher as the other metals fell. It is also now showing the strongest recovery.

FWIW, and on another subject, I attended a mineral and gem show today sponsored by the Arizona Mineral and Mining Museum Association. As the state gives almost no money to the museum, the association generates what it can. There were over 80 vendors at the show, and disappointing attendance. I overheard 3 vendors complaining about the attendance, and the lack of spending among those who did make the rounds of the booths. Here is an early warning for those who hope to make money at the giant Tucson Gem and Mineral show starting later this month.
