I think he's getting far worse. 1 difference is he wont be blamed for the market decline prior to his taking office. Many people used the election of GWB as the reason for heavy declines in the latter 1/3 of 00. Also, if a terrorist act happened in the next 9 months it would TOTALLY be the fault of GWB and his lack of ability to put together a solid homeland security. Those are the types of passes I expect Obama to get that I'm not convinced GWB got.
