Because continued oil dependence is a bad idea, or have you been living under a rock in the last 5 years?

Which is it Mindmelt?.. First you claim you're all for increasing domestic drilling for oil and NG so we can get off imported oil from the Mid-East, and now you're totally against oil..

Why not just get yourself a horse and pay the "fart tax"?

Next thing you're going to tell us is that continued dependence upon coal and NG electrical generation is a bad idea.. and that we should commit all of our efforts to solar and wind, despite the fact that it's more expensive and less reliable.. (as shown by the Spanish paying $400/megawatt when we're paying $150/megawatt).

And yet you have no problem making us dependent upon the S. American land of coups, and caudillismo..

Sounds like someone hit you with that rock you claim I'm living under.
