The ponsi games played by wall street firms were lacking in legal protections by regulators; because for each dollar invested, customers never got a share of mutual fund that can be redeemed into other stocks that the mutual fund owned. Paperless transactions caused the ponsi games to be played without substance to back up the assets claimed.

There used to be stories on wall street that a Canadian oil firm failed and became worthless, but later a piece of land that they had rights found oil. The stock went from one penny to $100,000 per share. This means banks should never be closed by FDIC, but must be merged to recover any assets neglected.

We have always made sure that chairman Seedman never pull any rugs(he did and was gone), and chair Bair carries a shot gun to force marriages(we need her every day of our life).

Same is true of small or big companies, any hidden assets(written off for tax benefits) must be merged to have better management. The survivor is always presumed to have better management. But today its better IT department that keeps good double entry records with different encryption keys both direction in data transmission. IT department must be run by the business itself, not by computer companies that does not understand how the business should be run.

Its never the end of the world. Its always how to survive the lack of management. Keeping good records is the first step to a 10,000 mile journey, if you can live 10,000 years long.

Congress had to be informed so that they work with mergers and capital investment by our government.
