Yeah, that's pretty bad.

Not as bad as IBM's Watson, however --

DEC opened a few retail computer stores in the late 70s when I was working a great deal with PDP 11s. I can remember stopping by the one in Dallas, which was on West Mockingbird near Stemmons. How they ever thought they would sell anything out of that store I just don't know.

They had several computers but if you said, "What can you do with one of these?" they would not have been able to show you anything. Not one application.

It was just totally ill-conceived. They hadn't a clue what they were trying to do with it.
