The notions in that article are why Larry Summers has a background role in the administration, and why I was disappointed he is there at all.

Larry Summers is very smart, but in my opinion lacks good judgment in going along with the Republican notions that markets are best without regulation. I expect Tim Geithner to later become Fed Chair and Summers may take over as a caretaker Treasury Secretary in a second-term administration. Or perhaps even less responsibility.

Once a person shows they are as clueless as Reagan, Greenspan, and many other Republicans, you have to question giving them any actual authority.
