Mish, Perhaps I wasn't clear. I am advocating a Managed Account with a Fund of Funds firm which invests in other Managed accounts of hedge funds. Complete transparency and liquidity instantly. The Co-mingled fund of funds where doctors are mixed with pension funds is a thing of the past. One can also go direct to say someone like Sitka, but having met many allocators I can say that is a tough job to do because it takes the build out of a team and due diligence. It's better to outsource that. Fees will come down across the board - even for Sitka - that's deflation as you say.
