The GAO report, in the first place, tried to downplay the damage, which the Bush Administration did as well. They didn't want to make a deal of it.

I ask you for any evidence you can produce that similar vandalism has been committed by prior administrations as they left. I'm talking about graffiti denigrating the incoming president; intentionally damaged office equipment; significant items stolen; desk drawers glued shut, etc.
