My notes from the PC DOCS conference call.

Sold products to a variety of sectors: financial, law, manufacturing and government
All products sold well. More than 50% to existing customer base.
Microsoft knowledgment management award winner

Investements
Invested $2 million in an unspecified company, might invest more in company
This investment represents 13% of unspecified company's cap
This company's product enhances all PC DOCS products
PC DOCS is prepared to make these small equity investments to enhance PC DOCS.

Cyberdocs 2.0
"extremely optimistic" about it, beta users indicate its extremely good
there are 12-24 beta sites
product is a whole new area of growth and will get PC DOCS into areas they aren't in
will put them in competitive position
believe there is a big market for doc mgmt system that combines client-server and internet architectures
cyberdocs is a complete rewrite with much greater functionality
architecture is com-based, customizable, flexible (distinctive features)
workflow will be provided through 3rd parties: reach, action, staffware, optical workflow

Expenses
not cutting expenses, managing them, spending wisely

Sales
38 new licenses
licenses for cyberdocs: 120
worldwide sales people: 40, with 10 positions to fill
had a million dollar order from North America
sales cycle is staying the same, 6-9 months, depends on where people are in process
another major VAR is near agreement, besides EDS and Unisys

Competition
seeing the usual competitors: Documentum, FileNet, OpenText (sometimes)--that's it
PC DOCS' type of clients are looking for well-established companies with a strong presence
in most cases small vendors are excluded
don't see Lotus Domino in competitive situations, they are in a different class
PC DOCS has excellent integration with domino

Is Market Still "Confused"?
overall confusion is still there
confusion won't go away soon, because there's so many technology options
confusion is in all sectors of software market
potential customers have lots of internal debate
decisions are ultimately made though
some have made up their minds and are moving forward
there is confusion on whether to use client-server or internet solution, cyberdocs 2.0 integrates both

New President
Will hire within 3 months
They are in the 2nd round of interviews
very pleased with the candidates

SAP Integration
seeing little revenue from SAP integration because it was just released
its often a requirement for manufacturing accounts, whether they use SAP or not
working to integrate with other ERP systems
