THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH
Dublin-based Zomax has become the latest local employer to cut workers, laying off 103 employees last week.

"Unprecedented deterioration of market conditions" prompted the layoffs, the company said in a letter to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.

According to the letter, Zomax had tried to find a buyer for part of its business but was unable to negotiate the transaction.

The company, which provides CD and DVD replication, order fulfillment, warehousing and distribution, has its headquarters at 7001 Discovery Blvd. It has other operations in Minnesota, Utah, Canada and Mexico, according to its Web site.
