I was reading an Cheney interview the other day and the subject of waterboarding was addressed. I believe in the US Constitution and I believe that we should apply it to the US Government regardless of the location. However, without saying that I outright support the interrogation techniques used in Guantanamo Bay, I would say that the moral question isn't so clear.

Today's philosophical question: If someone had kidnapped one of your loved ones and stashed them somewhere with the threat to kill them and then you were able to locate the kidnapper (but not your loved one), would you be willing to torture that person to determine the location of your loved one?

I don't even have to think about this one. For me, it is an absolute "yes".

And I wouldn't care about the ramifications as long as I was able to save my loved one.
