I think Hannity & Colmes losing Colmes was a big mistake for Fox. Colmes was the star of the show. His role was to be what right-wingers think left-wingers are like. He played the part perfectly. The Onion summed it up better than I can:

Without him, what separates the show from what you can hear on AM radio 24 hours a day? Nothing.
