We go through episodes of topical posting. There have been some left wingers who will come and engage in rigorous discussion with right wingers but they don't seem to be able to hang in for the duration. Steve D., Mark Anderson, and a few others come to mind.

Geode posts on lots of relevant topics but is unable or unwilling to discuss them rationally. He puts anyone who challenges him on ignore, and blasts most conservatives with vitriol, often for no apparent reason. He often posts to himself and argues as though there is someone on the other side, asking questions and arguing against himself. After lots of prompting he has gotten to where he will comment to other posters who don't challenge his positions, like Kant, SeachRE, and Shepard.

You know about American Spirit of course. He actually interacts with other posters but refuses to follow a logical chain of discourse when he does. Its mostly bashing and blaming from him with little or know substance to back it up.

There are several regular posters here who just banter back and forth but don't really get into any depth of discussion. Its kind of frowned upon but I do not see that as reason to hold back and neither should you. Bring up any topic you like and I'll be glad to challenge your view of things to the best of my ability.
