The social security program acts to stabilize society - if people are desperate and starving they have a tendency to break into your house, steal stuff, and leave a big mess.

In many ways, the rich benefit far more from the social stability created by the social security program than does the middle class. They should pay at the same rate - or higher.

Alternately, there is the torches and pitchforks income realloction plan often used by the starving and desperate....
