Hard trying to organize my thoughts and watch American Idol at the same time. Anyway - here goes. What concerns me most is not that this guy is typical of the Republican appointees under Bush, but that the Congress, the media, and the American people allowed it to happen, and to go on. This was an attack by the right-wing and the Republican Party on the very foundation of the United States - it's justice system. Even with the Obama election, we as a nation, are very, very close to the precipice. How else could this travesty have gone on for 8 years without serious acquiescence by a substantial number of the American people? There is going to be some serious blowback over the next 4 years by these right-winger types. They are the forces of the anti-Christ, and they hate the very principles of democracy, and they have and will continue to do everything they can to undermine this country and they will continue to do it cleverly by wrapping themselves in patriotism, and the American flag. They will not be happy until they extinguish the light of everything that America once truly stood for. - A.
