Al, > Implied in your statement is the notion that someone is doing that...who and how? Who: Bush, Obama, Congress, the usual suspects. How: Bailouts and stimulus packages. Like I said before, I used to support the idea of a bailout, thinking that we could engineer a soft landing. I now believe that it's a waste of time and money, with the only benefits being shallow and political. As for stimulus packages, didn't we already try that last year? Send out stimulus checks so that people can spend and revive a faltering economy? What happened to that, and how come the media has such a short-term memory? Tenchusatsu
