Our so-called democracy will be a dinosaur without the fourth estate to keep the government honest. We need paid reporters reporting & a public that reads. Where do you think your little pajama site NEWSER get their news?
And we can't just all read the NYT. Newspapers serve us better than the trash we're fed on cable TV. They just need to re-adjust to 2009. But without bona fide reporting our society will degenerate...as it has.
