The basketball team we played tonight actually had a few plays they tried to run against us. Play 1 was for the point guard to dribble as far as he could and say "1", which is apparently a signal for another player to come up and set a pick on his man so the ballhandler can get free and I guess take it to the hoop. The only problem is that we don't play man-man. As I've written, we play a triangle and two where the "two" are trained to go right to half court (no pressing allowed except in the last three minutes of a half). So when our first guy got picked, there was the second guy. And if he someone got by him, he still had to get through our triangle (three guys just about all in the lane). And they kept running it. I guess because they practiced it.
