The layoffs represents slightly less than 1 percent of Banner's overall workforce of about 35,000, and the job cuts are a combination of management, administrative and clinical staff. The job reductions and other cost cuts to employee perks are expected to save Banner Health up to $50 million this year. azcentral.com
