What Carter left for Reagan was EASY...Carter actually lost the election because he was too concerned about the mess he was leaving(high inflation and high unemployment), and left Reagan a country ready to boom. So, the apparent mess then was nothing in comparison to what's going today...there's little doubt in my mind that the USA will never come back to the highest ground it apparently owned forever. GWB has been a disgrace. We warned you as early as 2001...
