It has been claimed that the media driven perception of Republican corruption either caused or at least magnified Republican losses in 2006. If the media was not ridiculously partisan democrats would have been slaughtered in 2008 because the corruption was virtually all theirs.

Of course as we all know the now famously moronic Obama voters didn't even know that democrats controlled Congress.
