OK - so he was pretend paper trading on those statements to clients he sent out? Then where is the original capital? Does this mean Bernie didn't invest the money? He was super conservative? Maybe he will look like a super hero in the end? He actually was protecting his clients from the unbridled capitalism? He was teaching them all a lesson? He had no choice but to keep the paper game up in order to show making money on the "profits" from those fake trades.
Let's face it - if Bernie could hide this scam for all those years - he could hide the trades. I doubt every offshore account has been inspected.

So how much ACTUAL money was actually paid in? And where is that money?
