Looks like our new President really gets it...

Gets what? That wind power is not as economically competitive as fossil fueled generation capacity?? Or maybe that slacking energy demand is causing rethinking of required power generation capacity?

I’m told that if we don’t act now, because of the economic downturn, half of the wind projects planned for 2009 could wind up being abandoned. Think about that. Think about all the businesses that wouldn’t come to be, all the jobs that wouldn’t be created, all the clean energy we wouldn’t produce.

One would think that if wind was so profitable, it wouldn't matter if we had an economic downturn or not. That's the definition of a TRUE INVESTMENT..

Is this his plan?.. to make us use power from expensive and non-competitive generation capacity?
