1/16/09 update
Although some, like myself, hoped the Obama rally would pick up steam as Inauguration Day approached, this was not to be. And for the first Contest week, the Nasdaq Composite Index was down -2.69%. However, for the final week of W's reign the Nasdaq Biotech Index did celebrate with a gain of 2.24%. The Contest median also had a decent week, gaining .91%.
Not resting on his 2008 Contest victory laurels, ROBERT bounded out of the gate putting his portfolio in first place with an 8.04% gain. Close behind, in the No. 2 slot, TECHNET's portfolio finished the week with a 7.6% gain.
A full 20 of the 32 Contest portfolios closed in the black for the first week and 15 of the 32 did better than the NBI.
Have a great weekend folks!
