LIAR! The GOP is responsible for bank deregulation starting with Bush and Gramm especially, and almost no one else. The rightwing coverup about this obvious fact is reprehensible and further degrades the already non-existent credibility of the rightwing A-hole crooks.
Sure there were a few democrats who were fooled or lured into going along with the GOP on deregulation, but it was all GOP rightwing from day one to end of days. It has always been there plan, just as it was when Reagan got into power and deregulated the S+L's.
The absurdity and criminal dishonesty of trying to blame Carter or CLinton is just outrageous. Sure CLinton gave the rightwing a little here and there to try and pacify them, but deregulation of industries which need to be regulated has never-ever been a democratic policy. And every single industry group which needed to be regulated was 100% behind Bush-cheney. In fact, that was there real base, starting with big banks, then big oil, big weapons, big tobacco, big pollutors, big timber cutters, big miners, big health gougers, big fatty foods makers, big toxic chemical makers, big wear profiteers, right down the list. |
